Safety

Designed to enjoy, not to worry.

The Reverso Air was designed by a father and airline pilot. Safety isn't an add-on — it's the starting point of every design decision.

4 watertight compartments

240 liters of trapped air. Each section floats independently. The boat stays on the surface even with two compartments punctured.

Flat cockpit like a paddleboard

The largest cockpit in the industry for this size boat — completely flat, with no protruding daggerboard trunk or mainsheet track. Kids are comfortable, no obstacles.

Raised boom

The boom clears overhead during tacks. No risk of head impact. A critical detail with children on board.

Self-bailing cockpit

The deck is angled at 3° with integrated drains. Shipped water drains on its own in seconds. No bailing needed, no stress.

Capsize? A non-event.

It's rare thanks to the flat hull and high freeboards. But if it happens: step on the daggerboard, the 2.9 kg carbon mast makes righting simple. Even solo.

Dual safety, aviation-style

The Tension Dynamics® system is doubled port and starboard — the same redundancy principle as in aviation. Designed by an airline pilot, not by accident.

The story

Born from an airline pilot's frustration.

Antoine Simon, Air France A320 pilot, was tired of the constraints of owning a traditional boat: trailer, marina, maintenance. He imagined a foldable sailboat that fits in a car trunk — and built it in Brittany with a team of quality-obsessed specialists.

Handcrafted in Brittany

Workshop in Plescop, in the heart of the "Sailing Valley". Each boat is built and inspected with the utmost care.

Aviation-grade quality

An airline pilot's obsession for safety and reliability, applied to every detail: vacuum infusion, 316L military-grade stainless steel, structural Dyneema® lines.

Sustainable by design

Recyclable packaging, lines and sandwich core foam made from recycled PET bottles. A boat built for generations, not for obsolescence.

"We build sailboats we are proud of for people we care about."

Frequently asked questions

Your doubts are normal. Here are the answers.

Every question below is a real question from future owners. If yours isn't listed, contact us — we answer everything.

Is a folding hull really rigid?

The patented Tension Dynamics® system generates 600 kg of tension via a mechanical cascade that multiplies force 14 times. SAIL Magazine, after testing in rough conditions, found the hull as rigid as a solid fiberglass monocoque structure. The Reverso is ICNN certified to ISO 12215, 12217 and 11812 standards.

How many people can sail on board?

The Reverso Air is certified for a maximum load of 180 kg (397 lbs) — that's 2 people. It's a compact 3.40 m dinghy, not a cruising sailboat. This compactness is precisely what makes it so easy to transport and so fast on the water.

I haven't sailed in 20 years — is this for me?

Sailors from 7 to 80+ years old use the Reverso. The self-bailing cockpit, natural stability and raised boom make getting back into sailing intuitive. A 48-page full-color printed manual is included. And assembly requires no tools. You'll know how to set up a Reverso.

Why this price for a dinghy?

The full carbon mast is standard (not an option). The sail uses Vendée Globe membrane technology. Construction is vacuum-infused in Brittany with premium materials. And most importantly: no marina fees, no trailer, no mooring, no heavy maintenance. The total cost of ownership is the lowest in the category. International 2-year warranty.

Will it fit in my car?

Folded, the Reverso measures 145 × 93 × 72 cm (57" × 37" × 28"). Confirmed by owners: BMW X1/X3/X5, VW Tiguan, Porsche Macan, Volvo XC40/XC70/XC90, Audi Q5, Peugeot 308, Dacia Duster, and many more SUVs, wagons and sedans. If it doesn't fit, a 4-bike hitch rack platform is the solution.

How does shipping work?

Shipped to 44 countries on every continent. Established logistics partners: FEDEX (USA), K&N (Europe), Safram (Switzerland). Triple-wall corrugated cardboard packaging. Full insurance to your door. Delivery: France 5-6 days, Europe 8-9 days, USA 8-15 days.
